I'm back...an update!

It's been a while since I've written a blog, and I'll tell you, it's for good reason. I welcomed my baby boy at the end of May and so... yeah. Life has been beautifully chaotic, and I wouldn’t trade a second of it.

He came early and somewhat unexpectedly, although I was already in the hospital as a precaution for premature labor. Because Baby Adams was born early, we spent some time in the NICU. And while there were some difficult moments, the benefits of this experience were not to be understated. These benefits started with a schedule! From Day 1, our boy had a schedule, something that is so important for learning and ultimately healthy boundaries as well. He learned to self-soothe and sleep independently—a dream for any new parent! He also had the most experienced babysitters (the incredible NICU nurses) who watched him while I recuperated safely at home. All in all, a difficult situation became a blessing for us as new parents.

Reflecting on those early days, I feel immense gratitude. The NICU team not only gave us peace of mind but taught us so much about how resilient little ones can be. It’s incredible how something that feels like a setback in the moment can turn out to be the perfect foundation for your journey as parents. I’m forever thankful for the strength Baby Adams showed during that time, and the support we received made the transition into this new chapter of life so much smoother.

Motherhood so far has been unbelievably easy. As was my pregnancy! I’m grateful for that each day, but I also know that what makes it easier is an amazing husband and flexible work—owning my own company really has its perks. Also, a positive attitude and meditation. I attribute those things to the ease we've experienced and look forward to continuing to grow as a working mom.

Balancing my business with motherhood is definitely an adjustment. Some days feel like a juggling act between meetings, baby time, and self-care. And yet, I’ve found a beautiful rhythm in the chaos. It’s given me a deeper understanding of time management and, more importantly, of myself as both a mother and a professional. Every challenge brings with it an opportunity for growth.

As I’m definitely back at it now, managing all the things that come with being a business owner and a new mom, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Life is full, and my heart is fuller.

Thanks for following along, and I look forward to more regular updates and meaningful content for you!
